Managing Patients on the Mobile App

Create patient records on your phone, assign them to encounters, and find past visits for that patient.

Patients in the Wavo Health app are the same records you see on the web. Changes sync across devices when you are online.

Open your patient list

  1. Open the menu.

  2. Tap Patients.

  3. Scroll the A–Z list, or use search.

Tap Add Patient to create a record.

Create or edit a patient

On New Patient or Edit Patient, you can enter:

  • Name

  • Date of birth

  • Gender

  • Pronouns (for example, he/him)

  • MRN

  • Phone

  • Clinical notes (your own scratch notes on the patient)

Save the patient, then return to Patients or open the patient detail screen to see their encounters.

Assign a patient to an encounter

You can assign a patient before, during, or after recording.

  1. Open the encounter.

  2. Tap Patient.

  3. Choose an existing patient, or create one.

  4. To remove the link later, use Unassign Patient.

You can still record and generate a note without assigning a patient. Assigning later keeps that visit with the rest of the patient’s chart in Wavo.

Open a patient’s encounters

  1. Go to Patients.

  2. Tap the patient.

  3. Open any encounter from that list.

If you are offline, some patient details may show Patient Not Available Offline. Reconnect to load the full record.

Pronouns

Set Pronouns on the patient record so generated notes can use the patient’s preferred pronouns. You can also update pronouns later on Edit Patient.
