This is useful when you capture in the room on your phone, then sit down at a computer to finish documentation.
How it works
One encounter can include multiple recording segments.
Pause on the first device. That saves a complete segment.
Open the same encounter on the other device and tap Resume / Start there.
When you finish, Wavo transcribes the segments in order and drafts one note.
Wait until the original device has saved and uploaded before you rely on the other device. A Paused chip on your phone is not always proof that the audio has reached Wavo’s servers — especially if you paused while offline.
Record on your phone, continue on the web
In the app, start the encounter and capture the visit.
Tap Pause.
Keep the app connected (Wi-Fi or cellular) until the segment finishes saving. If you were offline, reopen the app when you have a connection.
On a computer, sign in at https://secure.wavo.health/en/sign-in and open the same encounter.
Resume recording if the visit is still going, or generate / review the note if you are done.
Record on the web, continue on your phone
Pause the encounter on the web.
Open the Wavo Health app and find the encounter in Clinical Notes.
Resume on your phone if you need more audio, or finish the note after the web audio has saved.
If the encounter is already capturing somewhere else
The list may show Recording on another phone or Recording on web.
Opening that encounter can offer:
Record here — take over capture on this device. The other device should stop. Use this only when you mean to continue the visit here.
Continue without it — move forward without waiting for a segment that never finished uploading. Use this only if you are sure that audio is not needed. Missing audio cannot be added back later.
Do not start the microphone on two devices at once. If both try to capture, Wavo keeps a single live capture and asks you to take over explicitly.
Tips
Pause, then give the first device a moment to save before you switch.
If an upload is stuck, recover it on the device that recorded it (Profile → Storage on mobile).
Review the generated note on either device. Many clinicians copy into the EMR from the web.
