Smart Transform rewrites the generated clinical note from a plain-language instruction. Use it for one-time changes such as shortening the note, converting paragraphs to bullets, or changing tone and structure.
Website feature: Smart Transform is in the web note editor. It is not currently available in the native iPhone or Android app.
Use Smart Transform
Open a completed encounter on the Wavo website.
Open the generated clinical note.
Select Smart Transform in the note editor toolbar.
Describe the change you want in the instruction box.
Select Smart Transform to apply it.
Review the transformed note carefully. The editor saves note changes automatically.
The transformation can continue if you close its dialog. The note editor shows a processing state until the updated content is ready.
Important: Smart Transform updates the generated note. Copy any wording you must preserve before applying a broad rewrite, and always review the result for clinical accuracy.

Get better results
State what must stay: identify diagnoses, medication details, quotations, or sections that should not be removed.
Name the target: refer to a section such as HPI or Assessment and Plan when only that content should change.
Specify the format: say paragraph, bullets, headings, letter, or another concrete structure.
Use templates and Note Style for recurring preferences: Smart Transform is best for one-off edits. Update the template or Note Style when you want the same behavior on future notes.
Troubleshooting
The result changed too much
Use a narrower instruction and list the content that must remain.
Restore or paste back any wording you copied before the transformation.
Smart Transform is missing
Confirm you are editing a generated note on the website, not in the native mobile app.
Check whether Smart Transform is included in your current plan.
The transformation fails
Check your connection, refresh the encounter, and try a shorter instruction. If it continues, email [email protected].
