Dictation Mode lets you capture a spoken note and use the result as raw text or as source material for a structured document.
This workflow is on the website. The native mobile app can record an encounter, edit or copy the generated clinical note, and reprocess it, but it does not currently provide the website’s dedicated Dictation Mode or multiple document tabs.
Copy the dictated text
Sign in at secure.wavo.health.
Open the encounter created with Dictation Mode.
Open the Dictation document tab.
Select the text and use Command+C on Mac, Ctrl+C on Windows, or your browser’s copy command.
Paste the text into your EMR or another approved destination.
Dictated text is a direct transcription-style output and may not have the sections or formatting of a generated clinical note.
Create a structured document from the same dictation
Open the dictated encounter.
Select the + beside the document tabs.
Choose the template for the document you want, such as a SOAP note, referral letter, or patient instructions.
Wait while Wavo generates the additional document tab from the existing encounter context.
Review and edit the new document.
The original Dictation tab remains available. You normally do not need to dictate again or reprocess the entire encounter to create another document type.
You can also ask the website Assistant to create a named document, such as “Create a patient handout,” and Wavo will open it as another note tab.
Copy or export the structured note
Copy: Use the copy control in the clinical note editor, then paste into your EMR.
Export: Use Wavo’s Export workflow to create a PDF or editable Word file.
Print: Export a PDF, then print it using your device’s standard print controls.

On iPhone or Android
Open a completed encounter to review, make quick edits, or copy the generated note as plain text. Use the website when you need Dictation Mode, another document tab, Smart Transform, PDF or Word export, or more extensive formatting.
Review before sharing. Raw dictation and AI-generated documents can contain recognition or generation errors. Confirm clinical accuracy before placing the content in the patient record.
