Wavo saves encounter audio on the device, then uploads it when you have a connection. You can close the encounter sheet while that happens. Do not delete the encounter or sign out until the upload has finished.
When to use Storage
Open Profile → Storage (Saved recordings) if:
The encounter is stuck on Audio Pending or Processing
You see Failed
You recorded while offline and are back online
You had to reopen the app after a crash or force-quit
Retry the upload
Connect to Wi-Fi or reliable cellular.
Open the Wavo Health app and leave it in the foreground for a minute.
Open the encounter and tap Retry or Retry Uploads if you see it.
If it still does not move, go to Profile → Storage.
Select the saved recording and tap Recover upload.
Keep the app open until the status changes. Background upload is best-effort; opening the app is the most reliable way to finish syncing.
Export the audio if you need a copy
From Storage, you can Play recording or Export audio.
Treat exported audio as protected health information. Only share it through your usual clinical channels. Export is a recovery option — it does not by itself generate the note.
If the file will not play
A recording that was interrupted while the app was killed may be incomplete. Export still preserves available audio, but Wavo cannot always turn a broken file into a playable recording or a transcript.
If that happens, contact support from the app and use Share diagnostic details from Storage if you are asked for them. Diagnostic details are for troubleshooting; they are not the clinical note.
Prevent lost uploads
Do not tap Delete Encounter while status is Audio Pending.
Do not sign out if the app warns about Unuploaded Captures.
After you Pause or Finish Note offline, reopen Wavo once you have a connection.
If you switch from phone to web, finish saving on the device that recorded first. See Switching Between Phone and Web During an Encounter.
Need help?
In the app, tap Contact support, or email [email protected]. Include whether the encounter shows Audio Pending, Failed, or Interrupted, and whether you were offline during the visit.
