Using Wavo Evidence

Wavo Evidence is a standalone clinical search. Use it for guidelines, comparisons, and visit prep that are not tied to one encounter.

This is different from the Assistant on an encounter, which answers questions about that visit’s note, transcript, and patient history.

Open Wavo Evidence

  1. In the left sidebar, click Wavo Evidence.

You can also open it from Home with Clinical Evidence.

What you can ask

Use Evidence when you need sourced clinical information, for example:

  • Latest guidelines for a condition

  • Drug dosing or interactions

  • A diagnostic workup

  • A comparison of treatment options

  • Prep before a visit

Choose a mode when it is offered, such as Search, Assess, Compare, or Prepare.

Always review cited sources. Evidence supports clinical judgment. It does not replace it.

Evidence vs encounter Assistant

  • Wavo Evidence — general clinical questions. Not limited to one patient visit.

  • Assistant (right panel on an encounter) — questions about this visit, the generated note, and earlier visits if the encounter is assigned to a patient.

On Intelligence plans, encounter Coding is a separate tab for ICD-10, E/M, and HCC suggestions. See Using Coding Suggestions in an Encounter.

Wavo Evidence is available on the web. It is not in the native mobile app.
